Sleep disturbances and its associated factors among the college students in Tamil Nadu- a cross sectional study

Background: The key building block of good health is sleep. According to sleep foundation the term disturbance defined as a disruption in that causes arousal or awakening. Sleep disturbances widespread common problem among university students who are entering into adulthood. present study was done with objective finding prevalence college studying Tamil Nadu.Methods: This cross sectional 536 participants, whose were assessed using pre-tested, pre-designed questionnaire. Descriptive and Analytical statistics used. Chi-square test binominal logistic regression.Results: Out students, 299 (55.78%) suffering from which 70.9% females 83% them had less than 1 hour time gap between screen their regular There significant association repeated worrying about lots tests, feeling lost something life, felt badly pandemic/online teaching, isolated often taking food out hostel/home.Conclusions: showed majority suffer disturbances, stress levels goes up physical activity down.
